I like JL when you go big...but the lower level subs and speakers seem soo expensive! I like RE and Rokford

i've only had experience with Kicker and Fosgate.. but i'm open to trying other brands. I'm interested in the Sundown subs..but they require so much box/air volume to work properly

My Brand of Choice ... Linear Power / Blues Car Audio
your just waiting on that very day when I say Randell I'm ready for my list rt
Re subs are bad ass. I used to be jl all the way but started messin with re and got to say they are amazing. I have the srx series in the 03truck under rear seat. In a downfiring box. It sounds good in there and loud too for an ext pickup. The escalade has a re xxx series sub. They are crazy loud and expensive too. But easily outperforms a w7

I have never gotten in too stereos other than a couple pieced together "systems" I got used from friends/CL. I will deffenitly be watching this thread because a solid system in on my list. So far I have seen nothing about Kicker or MTX what is everyones opinion on these?

I used to have 2 10 in mtx terminators like 150 rms but still sounded awesome! Kicker makes a solid sub. No personal use besides 6.5 door speaker in my old s10...nice for 80 bucks

As far as Sub woofer Drivers go, I'm running 4 10" Linear Power / Blues Car Audio ISO-Kits ...
That would be 4 10's Isoberic in separate tuned enclosures ...

This is also considered as a "Blow thru" / "TLine" style enclosure setup ported and tuned to 22 htz for Sound Quality Competition ...

Ive ran alot of stuff alpine type x 12' mtx 9500 12' re sx 15' the alpine was great for my 87 standard cab cause it was soooo clean no cone noise the re's are freakin loud but they can be alittle sloppy im building a system in my dually itll be 4 shallow 12's behind the back seat... undecided on brand so far
Res are great sounding but there very picky about there amps. A cheaper amp will be noticable. Ive ran res with jl amps and arc amps and they sound amazing.

Ive always went with Pioneer stuff. Its what I started with back in the 80s.Ive tried alpine, keenwood just didnt get the sound and servise that I got from Pioneer. Its always been a great product for me.Im wanting to buy a small amp. around 400 or 600 watts for some small door and dash speakers.Im thinking of going with a different brand amp than Pioneer. You all know this stereo stuff better than me these days.Somebody tell me what kind of amps you suggest.

It's been a few years since I've had a real system in my ride but before kids and stuff my sub of choice was Rockford Fosgate and an Alpine head unit. When I had my '04 Blazer Xtreme the only audio I upgraded to that was a Bazooka sub (Triangle looking sub) in the rear. It put out good base hitting off that back hatch glass for not being real big. When turned up you could hear it a couple blocks away.

The truck will have a Boston Acoustic's passive radiator sub and a Kenwood 700 w-5 ch Soon, to finnish off the Kenwood 996 and B A 6.5 Pro 60's.
The van has a KW 852 with a RF 300-12, and Pioneer components in the frt and Sony 6x9's in the rear.
