Default what welder should be used for frame work?

220 mig would be the fastest and easiest IMO.. 110 migs work well on sheet metal and most will say they are fine on frames as well. Always use gas not a fan of flux core welding. If you have ass loads of time the tig would be awesome no clean up on welds ect. I usually only use my tig on parts that I can weld on the bench/exhaust.

A 220 mig set up for gas should be great,if for some reason you only have 110 then u might run flux core wire without gas and it will penetrate better,but there will be alot of spatter to clean up

I've used both a 220 and a 110 and both i ran 75/25 gas and hard wire and they turned out good. just make sure with the 110 u have good penetration.
